Spring Maintenance Ideas

We made it! Spring is finally here. I’ve got a list of ideas to do this spring to maintain your home and to keep it looking nice.

The Roof: Examine roof shingles to see if any were damaged during the winter. Fix the damaged shingles if necessary.
Gutters: Clean out your gutters. Check to make sure they are draining away from the foundation of your house and they are not loose or leaking.
Chimney: Now is a good time to examine your chimney for damage and to have the flue cleaned.
Concrete: Inspect the concrete for damage. Fill cracks with a concrete filler or silicone caulk.
Outside Faucets: Check to make sure they didn’t freeze during the winter. It’s a good idea to check your hose as well.
AC unit: Spring is a great time to get your unit serviced if necessary.
Lawn Equipment: Check gas and oil levels. Make sure batteries are charged. Start them up and make sure they are running smoothly.
Windows: Seal any leaks, replace any window seals that need it. Now is also a great time to clean them.
Outdoor Furniture: Get out your lawn furniture. Fix any broken pieces. Maybe give them a new paint job.
